Our Heritage

Pavilion Road is the ‘spiritual’ home of Searcys and has been since the 1920’s when the building was acquired by the company. 30 Pavilion Road was developed by Searcys as a fine venue for society weddings, private parties, balls, supper dances and receptions. The library room at 30 Pavilion Road has the original Account Ledger Books dating back to Searcys founding year in 1847.

The remodelling undertaken by Searcys included pine panelling in the library and two stunning marble fireplaces. Care was taken that all key features were ‘proper’ Georgian and dictated the style for the decoration of the whole house.

With its first function taking place in 1963, 30 Pavilion Road took off as a smart party venue hosting royalty and celebrities including Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. More recently celebrity functions have included the wedding of Liam Gallagher and Patsy Kensit, the wedding of Freddie Flintoff and Rachael Wolls, and the Osbourne's Christmas party.
